On the 29th & 30th of November APL's WNE Region held the first ever 2 Day Deepstack Tournament in Western Australia.
The event boasted 219 runners on Day One - a field that was rounded off to just 140 starters on Day Two.
A generous starting stack of 20,000 in chips allowed players to play an individual and methodical brand of poker with Gordon Bradley managing to take the chip lead at the conclusion of Day One with 167.8k.
Gordon managed to hold his chip lead for some time on Day Two, however was eventually surpassed by Brian Greenhow who seemed to be shuffling up a storm!
The final table consisted of, Matt Lonsdale, Chris Bell, Jeff Field, Brian Greenhow, Chris Arneill, Dean Menzies, Ryan Shewan and James Watson, who together shared more than 4.5million in chips.
At conclusion of the final table, James Watson (Jimmy) took out WA's first ever 2 Day Deepstack and landed himself a seat in the upcoming Wild Turkey Poker Classic to be contested in Melbourne's Crown Entertainment Complex this February - an event that will boast an estimated $500,000 in cash and prizes.
Jimmy also walked away with $800 in hard cold CASH!
