With the APL Online Grand Final completed, and the winner, Michael Gates, taking home his Aussie Millions package, all that was left was to see who would take down Gus Hansen, to join Michael at the Aussie Millions event!
After an ominous start, with Gus Hansen unable to join us (or nervous of coming up against APL players?) on the Thursday, the event was quickly rescheduled for Sunday the 23rd of December.
Once the event began, it was clear that whatever nerves Gus may have had in regards to the competition were quickly swept away, as he went on to beat Victoria Avila (LuckyVik), Daniel Trogrlic (AK_AOK), Brendan McLaughlin (Phantom APLer) and Wayne McDougall (mongrelguts)one after the other, showing everyone why Gus Hansen is the current Aussie Millions Champion.
Congratulations to Victoria Avila, Daniel Trogrlic, Brendan McLaughlin and Wayne McDougall for making it this far, and for having the opportunity to play against a poker legend of Gus Hansen's calibre!
