Since July 1st 2007 when we re-branded APL and launched the new calendar year many changes have taken place, some of which are still being rolled out.
I would like to first of all thank all our loyal players for your understanding and patience as I can appreciate that it can be very frustrating at times, but I assure you that we are trying our hardest to deliver you the best product possible.
We've received several requests for more information on several issues and I wanted to update you on all of them.
APL Tournament of Champions 2008
For those who were there and those who weren't the event was an amazing success with Rodney Davidson walking away with the title and $300,000 in cold hard cash.
In 2008, the APL plans bigger and better things with an event that's more accessible to players across the country. Below are answers to some frequently asked questions:
1 - APL TOC 08 will be a 3 day event
2 - We expect in excess of 1,000 players to participate
3 - Players cannot win multiple entries. If they win multiple entries, they are required to transfer the seat to another APL member such as a friend or family member.
4 - TOC seats DO NOT have a monetary value, the cannot be purchased or sold, they can only be transfered if a player wins multiple entries.
5 - APL TOC 08 has a minimum guaranteed prize pool for 1st place $250,000.
6 - Information on tournament structure, venue, starting bank, blind structure, prize pool breakdown and other information will be released closer to the date expected to be in between July & August 2008

The new website has been re-designed from scratch and developed to improve usability, performance, speed, interactivity and experience.
Unfortunately, due to the complexity of our business internally (scores, qualifications, etc) and the sheer volume of events (in excess of 4,000 per month in 112 regions), we've experienced many unacceptable delays.
Over the coming weeks, more content will be uploaded, more feature will be available and most importantly adequate guides on how to use the new services.
To make things simple, we've created several sites within the APL network to concentrate our efforts. You will now be able to find free events by visiting the FREE poker site, Pro Series events by visiting Pro Series site and Special Events by visiting its site.
Again, we appreciate your patience and we are working tirelessly to complete this transition ASAP.
Pro Series
We are currently working closely with our sponsor PokerNews and we are carrying out many PokerNews Cup satellites for you to Join Team APL at this great event.
Changes to this product will take place in November and we hope you appreciate the improvements including changes to the Pro Series Open.
Over the coming weeks, we will improve our communication policies and begin rolling out better tools to keep you up to date and informed.
