Congratulations to Aaron Jenkyns who has been announced as the APL POTM for August 2008, and has secured himself a $10,000 prize package including entry into the Wild Turkey Poker Classic hosted by APL, which is scheduled to take place on February 14 & 15th 2009!
Aaron came 5th in the July POTM standings and now takes his total APL Poker Earnings to $11,500 IN cash and prizes in just two months! Aaron turns 24 today, (Happy Birthday Aaron!), and started playing poker with the APL when he was 22. Aaron 'Jerry' Jenkyns plays in the NSW City Outer West region and has a favourite hand of Ace Nine – because his name starts with A, and he was born on the 9th day of the 9th month!
Aaron plays at Five Dock RSL with his friends and girlfriend and heads off to Bali tomorrow where he claims his POTM earnings will "come in handy". Excited about the Poker Classic after bowing out early in the 2008 APL TOC, 'Jerry' claims that should he win the Classic, he will be heading straight to Vegas!
