Congratulations to Sydney player Chris Nikolaou who managed to play in an incredible 23 games this past week in order to secure himself the title of Week 4 August POTW! This win has gained Chris entry into the 2009 Wild Turkey Poker Classic to be contested over the 14th and 15th of February next year!
Chris is a 31 year old card shark who travels all over Sydney in search of APL games. He has been an APL member since December 2006 and plays all over town in a string of venues - 64 in fact!
Chris' favourite place to play is Redfern RSL on a Friday night because the venue is close to the city and has a relaxed atmosphere about it.
The 'Deep Fish' couldn't be more excited about qualifying through to the Poker Classic and taking on the best of the best for the big dollars - he says if he were to win at the Poker Classic, he'd start building a bankroll and playing poker even more seriously!
