Congratulations to Leno Icaca, who has just taken out the APL Pro Open for September, held at Cabra-Vale Diggers Club on Sunday 14th September.
Leno, who is the proud father of APL legend and 2007 Player of the Year John Icaca, has earnt himself a $20,000 TeamAPL package which will see him represent Australia at the 2009 World Series of Poker to be contested in Las Vegas, USA next year.
With 446 runners turning out for their chance at a seat into TeamAPL, not to mention 5 additional seats into the Wild Turkey Poker Classic to be held across the 14th & 15th of February 2009 up for grabs and a load of cash to be won, the event was hotly contested.
The final placings were as follows:
1st - Leno Icaca - Ticket into TeamAPL plus $1,530 cash
2nd - Lakun Agrawal - Wild Turkey Poker Classic seat plus $1,530 cash
3rd - Jorge Krahmalov - Wild Turkey Poker Classic seat plus $1,148 cash
4th - Tamara Ben-mohar - Wild Turkey Poker Classic seat plus $956 cash
5th - Vince Hardtop - Wild Turkey Poker Classic seat plus $956 cash
6th - Lazar Lazicic - Wild Turkey Poker Classic seat plus $765 cash
7th - Dave Borton - $383 cash
8th - Geoff Murtha - $383
